My mind twists its way around the idea of it, but my mouth can't seem to verbalize the words. I lay here, lamented and heavy-hearted, with a sickness feeding off of my wandering mind. Just seeing the fear in your eyes that I know I can't remove pains me. A fear that I wish I could take away from you and would give anything to do so. I am eternally fighting a battle that can't be won, but I can't seem to stop. You are internally fighting a battle that no one should have to fight.

To someone who was more than a friend; These feelings have never abated, They are far too painful to sever, Just by catching a glimpse of your eyes, I find it that more difficult to say my goodbyes, It’s not that I want to say goodbye forever, I just know that I can’t dodge what has been fated.
